Join the New Connecticut DAR Chapter
DAR is a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America’s future through education. These foundational ideals have helped the DAR remain resilient, influential, and relevant through changing times. The organization thrives because of its committed members—women who work tirelessly to serve their communities, preserve our heritage, educate young people, and support and honor our nation’s military personnel and veterans.
Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible for membership. For a complete description of DAR membership requirements, please visit our National Society Website. Please contact our Registrar for more information about the New Connecticut Chapter, NSDAR.
For research purposes, DAR Genealogical Research System (GRS) is a free resource provided by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) to aid general genealogical research and to assist with the DAR membership process.
